| Ans : On the basis of sources of data there are two types of data:
i) Primary data:- The data which is collected for the first time by investigator is called primary data. The primary data are original in nature and main purpose is to decrease the complexity of an enquiry and provide accurate information. This type of data are also known as first hand data.
ii) Secondary data:- These data are those data which has already collected by someone but are used by someone other investigators is called secondary data. The primary data for one person can be secondary data for someone others.
